A TOUCH of IRELAND
Touch is probably the one sense we think of the least. Perhaps it's because various parts of our bodies are touching something all the time. Our fingers write with a pen or pencil, swipe or tap a smartphone or tablet, type on a keyboard, all without registering the feel of the actual instrument we are using. We might notice that a piece of ice in our hand is cold, but we don't notice the texture. Unless something causes pain, we tend to ignore these sensations. So nurturing the sense of touch in Ireland was a bit of a challenge, but not impossible.
