IRISH SCENTS
We suppose when someone considers things you might smell in Ireland, slurry (manure), mold (from the frequent dampness), sheep pens, and peat fire smoke come to mind. Fortunately, we did not encounter a trace of those smells. The smells we did react to were all pleasant - restaurant food, fragrant flowers, sea salt, Irish whiskey and that "after a rain shower" smell that just can't be described.
Although technically not Irish, after nearly a week of traveling, we could hardly wait to try this BBQ feast in Dingle, the aroma was intoxicating. The smell of BBQ, whiskey, and rain will forever remind us of this trip.
